9 California spots
we know cold.

SF City Hall

Mayor's balcony · 4th floor rotunda

Two-hour ceremonies that feel cinematic. Most-photographed building on the West Coast for a reason. From $2,500 — includes 2 hrs of coverage + edited gallery within 4 weeks.

Big Sur

Glen Oaks · Bixby Bridge · Pfeiffer Beach

The most-requested elopement on Earth. Cliffside ceremonies, ancient redwoods, golden-hour at Pfeiffer Beach. Coverage paired with location scouting + permit help.

Yosemite

Glacier Point · Tunnel View · Bridalveil

Permitted ceremony locations only — we know which ones, when, and the application timeline. Granite walls, waterfalls, alpine quiet.

Joshua Tree

Hidden Valley · Cap Rock · Cottonwood

Desert ceremonies at golden hour. Less crowded than people expect if you know the timing. Off-season + weekday couples get the full park to themselves.

Half Moon Bay

Coastal cliffs · Ritz Carlton · Mavericks

30 minutes from SF. Cliffside ceremonies + Ritz Carlton for an upscale post-ceremony stay.

Pacifica Coast

Mussel Rock · Rockaway · Linda Mar

SF-adjacent ocean ceremonies. Sea cliffs, sand dunes, almost no permits required.

Mendocino Coast

Russian Gulch · Glass Beach · headlands

Off-grid + intimate. North coast — three to four hours from SF. Less developed than Big Sur, equally cinematic.

Sonoma Coast

Bodega Bay · Goat Rock · Jenner cliffs

The most cinematic stretch of CA coast. Wine-country adjacent — ceremony at the cliffs, dinner at a Healdsburg estate.

Golden Gate Park

Conservatory · Stow Lake · Botanical Garden

San Francisco's permit-friendly oasis. Conservatory of Flowers + Stow Lake + the Botanical Garden are all permittable.

FAQ

Most-asked.

How small does it have to be to count as an elopement?+
Just the two of you, or up to 12 guests. Anything bigger we treat as a micro-wedding (different package). The cap is more about logistics than philosophy — beyond 12 the day stops being a quiet ceremony and starts needing wedding-day production.
Can you help with permits?+
Yes. National parks (Yosemite, Joshua Tree) require Special Use Permits — we've done dozens, we know the timeline (apply 6–12 months out). State parks (Big Sur, Pfeiffer) are simpler. SF City Hall + Mendocino headlands have their own micro-permits. Permit-help is included in the Full Elopement and Adventure Day packages.
Do you travel to elope outside California?+
Yes — Hawaii, Mexico, Iceland, Italy. Travel quoted at-cost. We've done elopements on five continents.
How fast do we get the photos?+
Sneak peek: 5 to 10 photos delivered the same night. Full gallery: 4 weeks. Film (if included): 6 to 8 weeks.
What if it rains in Big Sur?+
We shoot through it. Some of the most beautiful Big Sur frames I've made were in fog. We'll bring backup gear, towels, and a clear umbrella that doesn't ruin the photo. We never reschedule for weather unless the ceremony location is unreachable.
