El lazo (the lasso)

White cord or rosary draped figure-8 around the couple during the ceremony. We position to catch the moment the padrinos place it — before, during, after. One of the most photogenic ritual moments.

Las arras (13 coins)

Groom presents the bride with 13 gold coins symbolizing his commitment to provide. Catch the close-up + family witness reactions.

Mariachi entrada

Mariachi band leading the couple from ceremony to reception (or first dance). High-energy moment — we shoot wide on the band + tight on the couple.

Folklórico ballet

Choreographed traditional dance during reception — Jalisco, Veracruz, or Norteño styles. Multi-camera coverage so we catch all the formations.

La víbora (the snake dance)

Late-reception circle dance with bride + groom dragged through the crowd. Pure chaos + joy. Shoot from above (chair, balcony) for the wide shot.

Are you bilingual?+
Yes — Alex speaks Spanish + English. Day-of directions to family in both languages. Abuelos, tías, padrinos all included.
Best time of year for these weddings?+
May (Cinco de Mayo) and September (Mexican Independence Day, Sept 16) are popular cultural-calendar windows. We also shoot heritage-rich weddings year-round — they're not tied to one date.
Do you understand mestizo + bicultural ceremonies?+
Yes — many of our weddings blend traditional Mexican rituals with Catholic mass, civil ceremony, or non-denominational vows. We pre-call to learn your specific blend + plan timing.
What about quinceañeras?+
We shoot quinces too — separate page at /quinceanera. Same team, same bilingual approach.
