Pebble Beach Wedding Photography

A Pebble Beach wedding,
flagship coast.

Six venues, the 18th green, the Lone Cypress, the bagpiper at sunset. The most prestigious wedding location on the West Coast — and the timing tricks that decide whether it lives up to the name.

Pebble Beach is the only golf-resort wedding destination in California where the photo backdrop is genuinely world-class. Stillwater Cove. The 18th green. The Lone Cypress. Cypress Point at sunset.

It is also the most expensive — $50K+ ceremony fees + $1,400+/night for guests + 18-month lead times. Plan accordingly. Skip the Pro-Am week. Book Sunday if you can.

Book early. Skip February. Book the bagpiper.

FAQ

Most-asked questions.

Lodge vs Inn at Spanish Bay vs Casa Palmero?+
Lodge = the flagship, $50K+, most well-known. Inn at Spanish Bay = secondary, $35K+, bagpiper at sunset, often easier to book. Casa Palmero = most exclusive, $60K+, private-villa feel, smallest groups. For most couples, Inn at Spanish Bay is the best value-to-photo ratio.
When does Pebble Beach blackout for tournaments?+
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the first weekend of February — Lodge + Inn fully blacked out for 10 days around that. US Open returns to Pebble in 2027. Avoid mid-late June 2027. Smaller PGA tour stops can also affect specific weeks.
How early do we need to book?+
Lodge: 18 months out for Saturdays. Casa Palmero: 24 months. Inn at Spanish Bay: 12–15 months. Sundays + weekdays book later (6–9 months). Off-season Nov-Feb (excluding Pro-Am): 90 days possible.
How does the bagpiper work?+
Inn at Spanish Bay has a bagpiper play at sunset every evening on the 17th hole. Audible from anywhere on the property. You can include it in your processional or recessional ceremony, or just plan portraits to coincide with it. Iconic.
What about the fog?+
Real, but Pebble has fog less often than Big Sur because of microclimate. May–August fog peaks. September–October are the clearest months and most popular. November–April clear with occasional storm windows.
Where do guests stay?+
On-property at Lodge ($1,400+/night), Inn at Spanish Bay ($800–1,400), Casa Palmero ($2,000+ per villa). Off-property: Carmel Mission Inn ($300–500), Hyatt Regency Monterey ($350–600), L'Auberge Carmel ($800–1,400). For 30+ guests, recommend Hyatt Monterey + shuttle.
Can guests drive 17-Mile Drive?+
Yes — $11.25 per car entry, but free if guests are at a Pebble property. The drive is a beautiful 1-hour scenic loop. Recommend guests do the drive Friday afternoon before the rehearsal dinner.
How much does a Pebble Beach wedding photographer cost?+
AGV starts at $5,500 for 8-hour Pebble coverage including travel from the Bay Area + 1 night lodging at-cost. Most couples book 10 hours ($6,500–8,000) which covers full Lodge wedding day + portraits at Lone Cypress. Multi-day weekends $8,500–11,000.
