Calamigos vs. Saddlerock — which do you recommend?+
Both are excellent. Calamigos has more variety in ceremony locations + more covered weather options. Saddlerock has bigger views + a more cinematic feel for film. Pick based on guest count: under 175 → Calamigos, over 175 → Saddlerock.
How does the Malibu fire / weather situation affect bookings?+
We watch CalFire weekly Sept–Nov. Most venues have all-weather backup plans (covered tents, indoor halls). We've never had a Malibu wedding cancel due to fire — but we'll always know the situation 7 days out and brief you.
Cliffside ceremony in Malibu — is it allowed?+
Public beach permits are required (LA County / state park rules). Adamson House + Point Dume have permittable ceremony spots. Most couples do private estate ceremony + sunset portraits at the cliffs after.
How early should we book?+
Saturdays April–October — 12 to 18 months out. Off-season + Friday/Sunday — 6 to 9 months. Premium private estates fill earliest.
Travel from Bay Area?+
Yes — we cover all LA. Travel from SF Bay included in Malibu-tier pricing. Friday arrival, Sunday departure standard.
